TNI Commander Closes First-Year Education for 989 Cadets in Cilangkap
TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto led the closing ceremony for the first-year education of the TNI Academy in 2026 at the TNI Headquarters field in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Thursday (16/7/2026). The event was attended by Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono. A total of 989 cadets completed their initial education, comprising 507 graduates from the Military Academy, 227 from the Naval Academy, and 153 from the Air Force Academy. The ceremony also included seven junior officers who graduated from foreign military academies and four cadets from Timor Leste who completed their education at the TNI Academy. In a solemn atmosphere, General Agus officially closed the TNI Academy’s First-Year Education for 2026. “On this day, Thursday, 16 July 2026, at 09.10 Western Indonesian Time, I officially declare the First-Year Education of the TNI Academy 2026 closed,” said Agus. The ceremony continued with the swearing-in of soldiers and the presentation of Adhi Makayasa awards and diplomas to the top graduates. The event served as a significant milestone in preparing young officers who are resilient, professional, possess leadership qualities, and embody a spirit of inter-service integration.
