TNI Chief Spokesperson Responds to Mutations of TNI Territorial Chief of Staff, Jakarta Regional Commander, and Eastern Indonesia Operational Command Commander

Jakarta — TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto has reassigned and promoted several senior officers (pati) across the three military branches. Those reassigned include the TNI Territorial Chief of Staff, held by Lieutenant General Bambang Trisnohadi; the Jakarta Regional Commander/Jayakarta position (pending organisational validation), held by Major General Deddy Suryadi; and the Eastern Indonesia Operational Command Commander, held by Major General Lucky Avianto.

Following organisational validation, the Jakarta Regional Commander position will be held by a three-star general. Since there is no change in three-star appointments, the position will be occupied by Lieutenant General Deddy Suryadi. Major General Lucky Avianto will be promoted to Lieutenant General.

TNI Spokesman and Head of TNI Information Centre Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah confirmed the reassignments and promotions within the TNI in early March 2026. “I wish to emphasise that personnel reassignments within the TNI are routine matters as part of soldier career development and organisational requirements,” Aulia told Republika in Jakarta on Wednesday (11 March 2026).
