TNI Chief Extends Eid al-Adha Greetings, Urges Unity and Brotherhood

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - TNI Chief General Agus Subiyanto has extended Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah greetings to all Muslims in Indonesia.

“I am TNI Chief General Agus Subiyanto, extending Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah greetings to all Muslims in Indonesia,” Agus said in a video released by TNI Public Affairs on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Agus stated that Eid al-Adha teaches the meaning of sacrifice rooted in sincerity.

“Let us use this holy day as an opportunity to strengthen brotherhood, share with others, and reinforce national unity,” he added.

He also prayed for the Creator to bestow blessings and prosperity upon all Indonesians.

It is worth noting that Indonesian Muslims are commemorating Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, also known as Eid al-Adha 2026. The consensus on the date means the holiday is being celebrated simultaneously by the majority of Muslims across Indonesia.
