TNI chief awarded by Thailand

JAKARTA: Military commander Gen. Endriartono Sutarto was awarded "The
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of
Thailand" earlier this month, detik.com reported Friday.

Quoting a press release from the military headquarters it said
the award, said to be the highest in Thailand for foreigners, was
presented by the kingdom's Minister of Defense Gen. (ret)
Thamarak Israngura on Feb. 16.

Endriartono had also met with his counterpart Gen. Somdhat
Attanand, in which they discussed cooperation in increasing
military professionalism in both countries, the report said. -- JP
