TNI Chief and Retirees Gather to Meet Defence Minister Sjafrie

Jakarta (ANTARA) - TNI Chief of Staff General Agus Subiyanto and a number of TNI retirees were seen arriving at the Ministry of Defence office to attend a courtesy meeting between Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and TNI Retirees, themed “The Role of the TNI in Supporting Government Programmes,” on Friday. From observations at the location, Agus and his group of TNI officials were present at 08.50 WIB. Their arrival was immediately greeted by several TNI Headquarters officials already at the site, such as Deputy TNI Chief of Staff General Tandyo Budi Revita and Head of the TNI Headquarters Information Centre Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah. Several former chiefs of staff and commanders were also observed attending the event, including TNI Admiral (Ret.) Yudho Margono, TNI General (Ret.) Andika Perkasa, TNI General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, TNI General (Ret.) Gatot Nurmantyo, TNI General (Ret.) Agum Gumelar, and several other former TNI leaders. The majority of the attending former TNI officials wore batik attire, while active TNI officials wore their service uniforms. They all entered the Bhineka Tunggal Ika (BTI) room to participate in the meeting. As of now, several former officials are still arriving at the Ministry of Defence.
