TNI Begins Administrative Process for Repatriation of Fallen Corporal Rico from Lebanon

JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) is currently processing the administrative procedures for repatriating the body of the late Corporal Rico Pramudia, a member of the UNIFIL Task Force who fell in Lebanon.

“At present, the administrative process for repatriating the late Corporal’s body is underway,” stated the Head of the Army Information Service, Brigadier General TNI Donny Pramono, in his statement on Saturday (25/4/2026).

Donny said that TNI has conveyed this sorrowful news to the family.

Currently, TNI is awaiting the family’s decision regarding Corporal Rico’s burial.

Corporal Rico was one of the TNI soldiers assigned to the XXIII-S/UNIFIL Mechanised Battalion Task Force stationed in southern Lebanon.

The late Corporal Rico Pramudia served as Tabakpan 1/C Company C UNP 7-1 of the XXIII-S/UNIFIL Mechanised Battalion Task Force, and in his daily duties, he was a Taban SO RU 1 Ton 2 Kipan A of Infantry Battalion 114/SM, 25th Infantry Brigade Siwah.

Rico was declared fallen on Friday (24/4/2026) at 10.32 local time, or 14.32 WIB, after receiving intensive care at St. George Hospital, Beirut.

Rico’s death adds to the long list of TNI soldiers who have lost their lives due to the Israeli attack on 29 March 2026.

To date, four TNI soldiers have fallen in this peacekeeping mission.

They are Major Inf (Posthumous) Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Sergeant Major (Posthumous) Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and Corporal (Posthumous) Farizal Rhomadhon.

“TNI extends its highest respects for the dedication, loyalty, and service of the soldiers in carrying out their noble duties as peacekeeping forces under the United Nations mandate,” said Donny.
