TNI announces officer reshuffle
JAKARTA: The Indonesian Military (TNI) announced a new reshuffle on Thursday, affecting 21 high-ranking officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force.
TNI spokesman Col. Ahmad Yani Basuki announced that Brig. Gen. Bibit Santoso was his new deputy after the reshuffle, which was approved on Wednesday by TNI chief Gen. Endriartono Sutarto.
Brig. Gen. Kardijono has been appointed as new expert staff for humanitarian affairs at the TNI, while Brig. Gen. Rasyid Qurnuen will serve as new Diponegoro Army chief of staff overseeing Central Java.
The change also affected the current expert staff for national management at the National Resilience Institute, Rear Adm. Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno, who will serve as new Navy commander of the western region.
His current position will be taken over by Rear Adm. Moekhlas Sidik, while Rear Adm. Fanani Tedjokusumo has been appointed as new Navy field commander, and First Marshall Yoseph Rasiman as deputy chief of the Air Force command staff school. --Antara
