TNI and Polri collaborate to ensure safe Lebaran exodus in 2026

Jakarta — TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto stated that the TNI (Indonesian Armed Forces) and Polri (Indonesian National Police) must collaborate to ensure the 2026 Lebaran exodus activities proceed in a conducive and safe manner.

Agus made this statement during a troop roll call at Silang Monas in Central Jakarta on Thursday.

“The TNI and Polri must always be present for the people, provide a sense of security, ensure smooth travel, and guarantee the safety of homecoming travellers from various potential security disruptions and traffic accidents,” Agus said in his address.

Agus explained that his force would deploy personnel to duty at high-risk points during the mudik and Lebaran holiday period. Additionally, his troops would be on standby to anticipate any disaster incidents during the Lebaran exodus.

To the thousands of troops assembled before him, Agus reminded the forces to carry out all these duties with full commitment. By performing their tasks maximally and professionally, he is confident that the momentum of the 2026 Lebaran exodus and holiday period will run smoothly and conducively.

“This operation must be supported by mature preparedness through inter-ministerial and inter-agency synergy, as well as solid coordination between all involved elements,” Agus explained.
