TNI and Community Build Armco Bridge in Trenggalek Through Gotong Royong

Trenggalek – Kodim 0806/Trenggalek has demonstrated its commitment to accelerating infrastructure development in the region through synergy with the government and the community. This commitment was realised by deploying personnel from Posramil 0806/Suruh to work together with residents in building an Armco bridge in RT 25 RW 03, Karangturi Hamlet, Gamping Village, Suruh District, Trenggalek Regency, on Tuesday (30/6/2026). The construction of the Armco bridge is part of an infrastructure improvement programme aimed at strengthening inter-regional connectivity, facilitating community mobility, and supporting residents’ economic activities. The presence of TNI personnel in the construction process is a tangible form of support for government programmes while reinforcing the culture of gotong royong within the community. Dandim 0806/Trenggalek, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Isnanto Roy Saputro, S.H., M.Si., stated that the involvement of the Kodim in infrastructure development is part of the territorial development task to assist local governments in improving community welfare through the provision of adequate facilities and infrastructure. “Kodim 0806/Trenggalek supports the government’s programme to build Armco bridges in three locations, namely Tegaren Village, Sumberejo Village, and Gamping Village. The Armco bridge in Gamping Village has a length of 18 metres and a width of 3 metres,” said Lieutenant Colonel Roy. According to him, the bridge will provide significant benefits to the community, particularly in facilitating transportation access, the distribution of agricultural products, and supporting educational activities and public services. He emphasised that the TNI will continue to be present to support every development programme that has a direct impact on residents’ welfare. During the construction process, Posramil 0806/Suruh personnel and the community worked side by side to complete each stage of the work, from material preparation to the installation of the bridge structure. The spirit of togetherness displayed reflects the strong synergy between the TNI and the community in realising quality development. Through the construction of three Armco bridges in Tegaren Village, Sumberejo Village, and Gamping Village, Kodim 0806/Trenggalek reaffirms its commitment to continuously supporting local government development programmes. The synergy between the TNI, government, and community is expected to accelerate equitable development, improve regional connectivity, and drive economic growth and welfare for the people of Trenggalek Regency.
