Malang, East Java (ANTARA) - The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) Great Office has stated that tourism activities in the Ranu Regulo area remain normal and have not been affected by fires at several locations in Mount Bromo.

The Head of the TNBTS Great Office, Rudijanta Tjahja Nugraha, in Malang Regency, East Java, on Monday, stated that access to Ranu Regulo remains open to tourists.

“For Ranu Regulo, it is still normal and remains open,” said Rudi.

Nevertheless, he reminded all tourists to increase their vigilance against the potential for forest and land fires (karhutla) triggered by hot weather during the current dry season.

“Tourists must remain careful during this dry season,” he added.

Based on data received from the TNBTS Great Office, over the three-day period spanning Saturday (12/9), Sunday (13/9), and Monday, the number of tourists in the Ranu Regulo area reached 645 people.

Specifically, on Saturday, 410 tourists engaged in activities in the Ranu Regulo area. On Sunday, 154 tourists were recorded, and today, 81 people visited the location.

Referring to Government Regulation (PP) Number 36 of 2024, which regulates the types and rates of non-tax state revenue (PNBP), the entrance ticket price for domestic tourists on weekdays is set at Rp24,000, and Rp34,000 on holidays. Meanwhile, the ticket price for international tourists on both weekdays and holidays is Rp205,000.

Furthermore, the camping ticket price for domestic tourists is Rp29,000 on weekdays and Rp39,000 on holidays, while the price for international tourists is Rp210,000 for both weekdays and holidays.

Additionally, the camping rate for a two-day duration for domestic tourists is Rp49,000 for one weekday and one holiday, Rp59,000 for one weekday and one holiday, and Rp69,000 for two holidays. The two-day camping ticket price for international tourists is Rp410,000 for both weekdays and holidays.

Ticket prices include insurance of Rp4,000 for domestic tourists and Rp5,000 for international tourists.

Meanwhile, the TNBTS Great Office Public Relations Officer, Endrip Wahyutama, stated that all tourism activities in Ranu Regulo continue to adhere to applicable regulations. He emphasised that tourists are constantly reminded not to engage in activities that could trigger fires in the area.

“It is expected that tourists do not light fires,” he said.

The TNBTS Great Office has urged tourists to report immediately to officers if they observe any smoke points appearing in the Ranu Regulo area.
