TNBTS Records 6,195 Visitors to Bromo During Eid al-Adha Holiday

The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) recorded a total of 6,195 visitors to Mount Bromo during the Eid al-Adha 1447 H holiday period from 27-28 May 2026. “The number of visitors to Bromo during Eid al-Adha 1447 H was 6,195, with 1,992 on Wednesday (27 May) and 4,203 on Thursday (28 May),” said TNBTS Public Relations Officer Endrip Wahyutama in Malang, East Java, on Friday.

He added that domestic tourists made up the majority at 5,799 people—1,804 on 27 May and 3,995 on 28 May—while foreign visitors numbered 396, with 188 on Wednesday and 208 on Thursday.

TNBTS will close the Bromo area from 30 May to 2 June 2026 for the Yadnya Kasada commemoration. Meanwhile, Ranu Regulo area saw 662 visitors during the holiday period, all domestic tourists.

Wahyutama noted that tourist traffic was well-managed compared to other long holidays such as Eid al-Fitr and New Year’s, with no traffic congestion observed. He stated that all safety and monitoring mechanisms followed standard operating procedures to ensure orderly, safe, and comfortable tourism activities. “All on-site conditions are monitored regularly to maintain orderly, safe, and pleasant tourism operations,” he added.
