TMMIN Expands 'Vocational School Development' to Two SMKs in Denpasar

PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) has expanded its Vocational School Development programme to Bali Province by donating modern engine props with the latest vehicle technology to SMKN 1 Denpasar and SMK Rekayasa Denpasar. Speaking at the handover ceremony at SMKN 1 Denpasar on Friday, TMMIN President Director Nandi Julyanto stated that this move represents industry involvement in supporting vocational education through sustainable cooperation with educational institutions. “The best investment for the industry is an investment in people. Therefore, we view vocational schools as a space to cultivate both competence and character in future industry talent,” Nandi said. One Toyota 2TR (petrol) engine unit was handed over to SMKN 1 Denpasar, whilst one Toyota 2GD (diesel) engine unit was given to SMK Rekayasa Denpasar. Nandi expressed hope that the donation of these teaching aids would support the practical learning process for students in the Light Vehicle Engineering (TKRO) department at both schools, particularly in understanding current vehicle technology and improving competency readiness in line with industrial developments. This donation is part of the expansion of TMMIN’s Vocational School Development programme, which has been running since 2017 and currently reaches 30 partner SMKs across West Java, East Java, Central Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. In 2026, TMMIN is expanding the programme to Bali and Lombok by adding four new partner SMKs, bringing the total number of partner schools nationwide to 34. This expansion also marks the programme’s first presence in Bali Province, with SMKN 1 Denpasar and SMK Rekayasa Denpasar as the first partner schools. “Through the support of learning facilities and sustainable collaboration, we hope that more SMK graduates will be ready to adapt to technological developments and make a real contribution to the progress of the national industry,” Nandi concluded.
