Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian women’s doubles pair, Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, are ready to unravel the strategy of the Taiwanese pair Hsu Yin-Hui/Lin Jhih-Yun in the second round of the YONEX German Open at Westenergie Sporthalle, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, Friday morning local time.

This will be the first meeting for Tiwi/Fadia since they were paired, facing Hsu/Lin as a combination.

“We will face Hsu Yin-Hui/Lin Jhih-Yun. I have met that pair before, but with a different partner,” said Tiwi in an official statement, Thursday.

“We will conduct an evaluation together, discuss with the coach, and watch video analysis to prepare the best strategy to face the match tomorrow,” said Tiwi.

Tiwi/Fadia advanced to the second round of the BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament after defeating the Danish pair Kathrine Vang/Mette Werge with a score of 21-8, 21-14.

The victory in two straight games was achieved through aggressive play and consistent tempo control from the start of the match. In the first game, Tiwi/Fadia immediately implemented a fast and pressing game pattern.

“Alhamdulillah, in today’s match we were able to achieve a good victory. In the first game, we have implemented a game pattern as we usually do and it went quite smoothly,” said Tiwi.

“We were carried away by their pattern and fell behind in points. But we tried to follow the tempo first, and when there was a chance to change the pattern, we immediately made adjustments and returned to the game we wanted,” she said.

Fadia added that the court conditions were a challenge in themselves, especially because of the difference between the match and the practice session.

“In the second game, we were a little surprised by the court conditions. During yesterday’s practice, it felt quite different, and today there was quite a bit of wind that had an impact. But we immediately communicated again on the field and had a chance to discuss with the coach to calm down and adjust the game,” said Fadia.

She also admitted that the atmosphere of this tournament felt different because the number of Indonesian players participating was not as many as usual. Nevertheless, their focus remains, especially since both of them are chasing additional world ranking points.
