TIW-Labeled Sacrificial Cow Donor at Mosque Near Amien Rais' Home Hails from Jakarta

A cow marked ‘TIW’ startled residents at Masjid Fatahillah in Padukuhan Gejayan, Condongcatur Village, Sleman Regency, during Eid al-Adha 2026. The mosque’s management stated the cow was sent by a donor from Jakarta.

“Through Condongcatur’s Babinsa, followed by the village head (Dukuh), I was contacted as the Masjid Fatahillah manager and asked to receive the sacrificial cow because TIW wished to perform the sacrifice in Sleman,” said mosque manager Muhadi.

Muhadi explained the mosque was chosen due to its proximity to the residence of national figure Amien Rais, with the sender seeking the closest mosque to his home.

“TIW wanted to perform the sacrifice in Sleman, Yogyakarta. When asked which mosque was nearest to Pak Amien Rais’ residence, it was Masjid Fatahillah,” he added.

However, Muhadi admitted not knowing TIW’s full identity, only that the donor was from Jakarta and was instructed not to disclose the donor’s complete name.

“TIW is from Jakarta; they said ‘I must not give the name, it’s confidential.’ The seller of the cow also said not to reveal it,” he stated.

The TIW-marked sacrificial cow was of metal breed and weighed approximately 1.1 tonnes. After slaughter during Eid al-Adha, the meat was distributed to local residents.
