Behind the grandeur of Nihi Rote with its exotic views of Bo’a Beach in Rote Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), the Yayasan Kesejahteraan Rote Peduli foundation has now emerged. This coincides with the launch of the Rote Hospitality Academy. The presence of the project received appreciation from Siti Hediati Hariyadi, alias Titiek Soeharto, Chair of Commission IV of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), who attended the event directly. Titiek, accompanied by Commission IV members Alien Mus and Rajiv, was invited to sign the soft opening plaque. “It is truly a pride for me to be here, witnessing this extraordinarily beautiful resort. I appreciate the establishment of this Hospitality Academy. May it produce and graduate local sons and daughters, as well as improve community welfare. May Rote Island become increasingly known internationally,” Titiek stated in a press release in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026). Founder and President Commissioner of PT Bo’a Development, Panji Adhikumoro Soeharto, explained that the discovery of the location began more than a decade ago. “From the first time we saw this land 15 years ago, we knew we had found something truly special,” said Panji. He recounted how in 2011, he and several colleagues were invited to explore Rote until they arrived at Bo’a Beach. At that time, the atmosphere was still natural and untouched by development. From that admiration, a grand dream was born: to build one of the world’s best resorts, without sacrificing the environment and surrounding community.
