Timeline: Truck Crashes Into Road Divider Causing Morning Traffic Congestion on Gatot Subroto towards Kuningan

A truck crashed into a road divider near Denpasar bus stop towards Kuningan on Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, causing morning traffic congestion. The accident began when the driver was travelling from west to east.

“Upon arrival at the scene of the accident, specifically in front of the Denpasar TransJakarta bus stop, the driver allegedly lacked concentration and caution,” said Assistant Commissioner Ojo Ruslani, Deputy Head of Law and Regulation at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate, on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.

Ojo stated that the incident occurred at approximately 05:30 WIB that morning. The truck subsequently struck the concrete separator dividing the TransJakarta busway.

“The vehicle then crashed into the concrete separator dividing the busway. As a result of the traffic accident, the vehicle involved sustained damage,” he added.

Officers then evacuated the truck. Approximately two hours later, the truck was successfully recovered. There were no fatalities in the incident.

“At 07:20 WIB, evacuation was completed and traffic flow returned to normal. No casualties,” he stated.

Previously, a single truck struck a road divider near Denpasar bus stop towards Kuningan on Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, that morning. Consequently, traffic near the location experienced congestion.

“A single-vehicle accident involved a wing-box truck striking a road divider on Jalan Gatot Subroto, specifically in front of Denpasar Bus Stop towards Kuningan, South Jakarta,” said the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Centre through its official X account.

Due to the incident, traffic flow in the surrounding area experienced congestion. Motorists were advised to exercise caution when passing through.
