Timeline of the Makassar Student Rape Case: Perpetrator Arrested After Posing as a Job Recruiter
As reported by detikSulsel on Sunday (17/5/2026), Feri committed his heinous act by offering the victim a job as a nanny. The victim, who came from Nunukan, was then asked to wait at a rented house before starting work.
Victim Held Captive for Days
While waiting, the victim was employed as a domestic worker in the house. After about two days, the perpetrator held her captive and raped her repeatedly.
The perpetrator’s heinous act took place in a residential complex on Jalan Metro Tanjung Bunga, Barombong Village, Tamalate District. The incident occurred from Friday (8/5) to Sunday (10/5).
Victim’s Mouth Taped and Hands Tied
Police explained that the rented house was only rented by the perpetrator for three days. When the homeowner came to check on the property, he was surprised to find a woman inside.
The homeowner’s discovery also revealed the tragic incident. Before the police arrived at the scene, residents took the initiative to rescue the victim from the house rented by the perpetrator. The victim was found crying with her hands tied during the evacuation.
“Upon arriving at the scene, we indeed found a woman with her hands tied. We then secured the victim,” said Iptu Abd Latif, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tamalate Police.
