JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Ronald A. Sinaga, familiarly known as Bro Ron, explained the timeline of the assault he suffered in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Monday night (4/5/2026). Initially, Ronald was accompanying employees of PT SKS for an audience at the MPP law firm office on Jalan Soeroso, Cikini, Menteng sub-district. According to Ronald, he was invited because he was considered to know the head of the MPP law firm. “Why invite me? Because the head of the MPP law firm is my former partner from last year. And I was asked to help with mediation,” Ronald said when confirmed by Kompas.com via text message on Tuesday (5/5/2026). Suddenly, three unknown individuals arrived around 6:00 PM WIB. “They said they were there for office security and asked everyone to leave the building. If they wanted to protest, do it outside the building,” he continued. Afterwards, a verbal altercation occurred between the three unknown men, the PT SKS employees, and Ronald. According to Ronald, the three men were pushed back by members of the Menteng Police Sector who were already present at the location. “Pushed back means escorted down via the lift, whether they were expelled or escorted to the building lobby,” Ronald said. About 15 minutes later, the three men returned to the fourth floor, where the MPP office is located. “The assault as seen in the video happened, by two of the men,” Ronald stated. He suspects that after being escorted down by Menteng Police Sector members, the three men deliberately returned to cause trouble. Ronald expressed regret that the assault and dispute occurred in front of police officers and the Babinsa.
