The speed of treatment has become a determining factor between life and death for patients experiencing heart attacks. Recognising this critical reality, Siloam Hospitals Bali officially launched the Chest Pain Ready Hospital programme at Icon Mall Bali on 28 February 2026.

The programme has been specifically designed to create an integrated, rapid, and measurable medical treatment pathway for anyone experiencing chest pain symptoms.

In cardiac medicine, the principle of “Time is Muscle” applies. Every minute of delay in treating arterial blockages means greater permanent damage to heart muscle tissue.

The Chest Pain Ready programme aims to eliminate medical bureaucracy and accelerate diagnostic procedures from the moment patients arrive at the hospital.

One of the key standards implemented in the programme is a maximum door-to-balloon time target of 90 minutes. This international standard stipulates that from when a heart attack patient enters the hospital until intervention to unblock the arterial obstruction is performed, no more than 90 minutes should elapse.

Dr Ni Gusti Ayu Putri Mayuni, Director of Siloam Hospitals Bali, explained that all infrastructure and medical personnel have been prepared to implement this strict protocol to ensure patient safety.

“We ensure that the system we operate is safe for patients. Patient safety is paramount,” Dr Ni Gusti Ayu Putri Mayuni stated at the programme launch.

Beyond rapid emergency response, the programme is supported by comprehensive advanced medical facilities. For cases requiring more extensive intervention, the hospital provides minimally invasive bypass surgery using small incisions, allowing patients to recover more quickly. Specialist treatment for arrhythmia or irregular heartbeat is also available through ablation procedures.

This step is essential to stabilise the heart’s electrical function and prevent the risk of long-term complications such as stroke or heart failure that often arise from chest pain symptoms that are not treated appropriately.

Through the standardisation of the Chest Pain Ready programme, Siloam Hospitals Bali is committed to guaranteeing quality services for residents and tourists in Bali to receive prompt, targeted, and protocol-compliant cardiac treatment in accordance with global health standards.
