Timah fixes 2000 tin premium

SYDNEY (Dow Jones): Indonesia's integrated tin miner, PT
Tambang Timah, has fixed its 2000 tin premiums between $50 and
$60 a metric ton, in-warehouse Singapore.

The premiums are steady to about $5 higher from 1999, Idu
Hutabarat, the company's investor relations manager, told Dow
Jones Newswires Thursday.

Hutabarat said some 80 percent of the company's production
have been sold under the annual contract arrangements, leaving 20
percent available for spot sales.

Timah produces more than 40,000 tons of tin annually.
