Tim Lapor Pak! Sparks a Stir in Jogja, Talking Money with Young People

Spotlight on Tim Lapor Pak! stole the show at Jogja Financial Festival 2026 at the Jogja Expo Center on Friday, 22 May 2026, with a mix of entertainment and financial education for an audience dominated by students. The performers delivered a show packed with humour and learning as Surya Insomnia took to the stage on guitar, singing Armada’s song Mau Dibawa Kemana, followed by Andre Taulany who joined in to perform Budi Doremi’s Mesin Waktu with Surya accompanying on guitar. The atmosphere grew livelier as the audience joined in, laughing at the comedians’ habit of twisting lyrics for fresh jokes. The presence of Andre, Surya, and Oki Rengga kept the crowd roaring with laughter throughout the performance. In the interactive segment, Oki Rengga selected two attendees based on a pre-show registration survey to come on stage. The two revealed they shared identical saving goals — to marry, buy a home, and travel abroad — and were invited to a relaxed dialogue in the Lapor Pak! interrogation style, welcomed by the audience. Beyond entertainment, the performers threaded financial education into the act for young people. Andre, in his role as a host, invited Anggito Abimanyu, Chair of the Board of Commissioners of the Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan (LPS), to discuss saving and investment options suitable for the youth, ranging from mutual funds to crypto and fintech. A student was also invited to speak about their savings aims, with one participant expressing an ambition to run their own business in the future. The light, comedic dialogue helped create a relaxed atmosphere while emphasising the importance of handling finances from a young age.
