Observation by detikcom at the location on Saturday (9/5/2026) revealed dozens of Brimob officers in dark uniforms on standby at several points around the building area. They appeared to continuously monitor the entrance to the glass-fronted building.

Two Brimob personnel in full tactical gear, including helmets, bulletproof vests, masks, and long-barrelled weapons, stood rigidly guarding the main entrance. In addition to the police officers, several building managers and internal security staff were also seen on alert at the site.

Activity inside the office building area appeared minimal. Only occasionally were staff seen entering the building carrying logistics such as food and several boxes of mineral water.

Several individuals, believed to be office employees, were spotted attempting to enter the building. However, the guarding officers directed them to use alternative access points.

Outside the building, passers-by were occasionally seen. They displayed confused expressions upon seeing the tight security. Although they glanced curiously, they continued on their way.

Based on gathered information, the tight security implemented since early this morning is suspected to be related to the police’s handling of an online gambling case. At the site, personnel were seen wearing T-shirts emblazoned with ‘Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri’.

As of now, no further information has been released regarding the details of the case disclosure. However, signs of an official announcement are emerging. In the building lobby area, rows of chairs and a microphone with barriers have been set up.

The Polri Public Relations Division announced that Bareskrim Polri is scheduled to hold a press conference this afternoon. However, details of what disclosure will be released have not been specified.

Hundreds of Foreign Nationals Secured

Meanwhile, according to obtained information, hundreds of foreign nationals (WNA) were secured in the raid. They hailed from Thailand, Vietnam, China, Myanmar, Korea, and Malaysia.

These foreign nationals are suspected to be part of an international network syndicate operating online gambling sites in the office building. Two floors of the building were rented by the perpetrators.

In the operation, Bareskrim Polri investigators also secured several pieces of evidence, including computers, laptops, safes, and the gambling websites themselves.
