Tiger Woods to play in Bangkok

BANGKOK (AFP): Ace golfer Tiger Woods will be in Bangkok in
November to try and regain the Johnnie Walker trophy from New
Zealander Michael Campbell who won last year's event in Taiwan,
the organizers said Monday.

The Nov. 16-19 tournament is to feature a starting field of
156 players from the European, Australasian, and Asian Tours and
leading names from China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea,
Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and
Thailand.

A star attraction will be Tiger Woods, 24, who enjoys a
special place in the hearts of the Thais as his mother is Thai.
