Tiffany & Co Customs Bill of Rp97.49 Billion Due End of June 2026
The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) has stated that the customs bill amounting to Rp97.49 billion imposed on luxury jewellery company Tiffany & Co will fall due at the end of June 2026. This certainty was conveyed after the customs audit process on the company was declared complete.
Director of Communication and User Guidance at DJBC, Nirwala Dwi Heryanto, confirmed that the completion of the audit was the reason behind the permission to resume operations of Tiffany & Co outlets. This step is in line with the policy of Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, who supports business actors with a high level of compliance.
“Yes, it has been audited. That is why the business was allowed to reopen. Because the Minister strongly supports entrepreneurs who want to be compliant. The due date is the end of this month,” said Nirwala, as reported by Antara on Tuesday (9/6).
Based on the Customs Determination Letter issued by Customs, the total obligation of Rp97.49 billion consists of various customs charges. In line with the company’s commitment to settle the bill, three Tiffany & Co outlets located at Plaza Senayan, Plaza Indonesia, and Pacific Place Jakarta have now been reopened. Previously, the three outlets had been sealed by DJBC due to violations involving the import of undeclared goods and arrears in customs obligations.
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa had previously led the unsealing at the Plaza Indonesia outlet. He emphasised that Tiffany & Co had officially declared its willingness to fulfil all applicable legal provisions in Indonesia, including the payment of administrative sanctions in Rupiah currency as stipulated.
