Ticket scalper

Century 21 are the favorite of the film goers because of their
convenience and service. But the Century 21 at Gajah Mada Plaza
complex disappointed me when on Jan. 7, 1995. I went there to see
the midnight show of Master Gambler.

I arrived at 22.35 to an extraordinary long queue for the
tickets. Being convinced that I had no chance of getting a
ticket, I walked around waiting for my friend who had not
arrived. There were a dozen ticket scalpers offering tickets for
Rp 15,000 to Rp 20,000, far above the official price of Rp 7000.
There was one scalper who had a pack of tickets in his hand. They
were offering the tickets freely without interference from the
security guards.

Some of the cinema goers bought their tickets from the
security guard post. They of course got them at a special price.
This could not have taken place without cooperation between the
scalpers and the Cinema personnel.

Could the management possibly do something about it?
