Ticket Sales at Kampung Rambutan Terminal Surge Ahead of Eid, Yogyakarta Emerges as Favourite Destination
JAKARTA – Approximately three weeks ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijrah, ticket sales at Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta have begun to experience a significant increase.
Revi Zulkarnain, Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, stated that the increase is evident from data provided by several bus operators (PO) showing a surge in ticket purchases for various routes.
“There has been an increase already, and certain routes are seeing strong demand. Particularly for Yogyakarta, followed by Malang and Surabaya. On average, a considerable number of tickets are already being booked,” said Revi during an interview at Kampung Rambutan Terminal on Monday (2 March 2026).
“Looking at the peak booking dates, most ticket reservations are for departures on 17 and 18 March. That would be precisely four and three days before Eid al-Fitr 2026,” Revi added.
Despite the surge in bookings, Revi assured that tickets at Kampung Rambutan Terminal remain available and can be purchased both online and directly at the terminal location.
“Tickets are still sufficiently available. However, if passengers have difficulty obtaining tickets, they can come directly to Kampung Rambutan Terminal,” explained Revi.
Revi also confirmed that there has been no ticket price increase to date. According to him, tariff increases typically occur during the Eid transport period.
“At the moment, ticket prices remain normal, normal. There has been no increase yet, except later during the period from seven days before to seven days after Eid 2026,” he said.
