Ticket Price Rp 200,000, Bangunkarta and Singasari New Generation Trains Use Captain Seats
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) is modernising the Bangunkarta and Singasari trains with Stainless Steel New Generation (SSNG) carriage sets, launched today, Wednesday (14/4/2026).
PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) is carrying out the modernisation to improve service quality.
“The use of the Stainless Steel New Generation sets is part of efforts to enhance service quality,” explained the Public Relations Manager of KAI’s Daop 7 Madiun, Tohari, quoted from Kompas.com.
Furthermore, captain seats are used, which can be adjusted according to the direction of travel. The seat reclining angle can also be adjusted to preference.
The entrance doors and inter-carriage connecting doors now use electric configurations. Prayer rooms, restaurant carriages, and windows made of tempered double glass are also available.
“Passengers will experience greater comfort through more modern facilities, better interior design, and improved safety aspects,” explained Tohari.
The Bangunkarta train operates on the Jombang Station, East Java - Pasar Senen Station, Jakarta return route with a ticket price of Rp 200,000.
Meanwhile, the Singasari train operates on the Blitar Station, East Java - Pasar Senen Station, Jakarta return route with a ticket price of Rp 200,000.
Special train fares or go-show tickets are promotional tickets sold for a limited time before departure.
