JAKARTA — PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has guaranteed a refund of the fare difference for holiday travellers who purchased ferry crossing tickets before the discount policy and unified fare scheme for the 2026 Eid holiday transport service came into effect. A partial refund scheme has been prepared to ensure the rights of service users remain protected, particularly on the Merak–Bakauheni route.

ASDP’s Chief Executive Officer, Heru Widodo, stated that the policy provides assurance for the public who had planned their journeys in advance and purchased tickets at standard rates.

“Service users who purchased tickets before the stimulus period and unified fare scheme can apply for a partial refund through the ASDP Contact Centre on 191 or the official WhatsApp number 0811-1021-191. We ensure the process is straightforward and provides certainty for the public,” Heru said in Jakarta last weekend.

The government has established a fare stimulus programme to support the smooth operation of the 2026 Eid holiday transport service. ASDP is implementing discounts of up to 100 per cent for port service components, which equates to an average of 21.9 per cent of the total ferry crossing fare.

The stimulus programme applies at 14 ports and seven strategic routes. The policy covers pedestrians as well as Class II and IVA vehicles on regular services, and pedestrians and Class II vehicles on express services.

In addition, ASDP is implementing a unified fare policy during specific periods by equalising regular and express service fares. This step has been taken to encourage a more even distribution of service users and reduce congestion during peak hours.

The unified fare will be in effect at Merak Port from 13 March 2026 at 12:00 WIB until 20 March 2026 at 15:00 WIB. At Bakauheni Port, the policy applies from 23 March 2026 at 00:00 WIB until 29 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB for pedestrians and vehicles in Classes I through VIA.

ASDP’s Corporate Secretary, Windy Andale, has reminded travellers that the smooth operation of services depends heavily on users’ discipline in planning their journeys and adhering to departure schedules.

“We urge the public to obtain their tickets before arriving at the port and to arrive in accordance with the scheduled departure times displayed. The Ferizy system ensures capacity is more measurable and safe. Currently, quotas remain available at 99.8 per cent,” said Windy.

ASDP continues to strengthen digital services to support the management of passenger and vehicle traffic flows during the holiday travel period. Support for the government’s policy is expected to ensure the Eid holiday travel experience is more orderly, smooth, and comfortable for all service users.
