Thursday: Mobile Driving Licence Services Available at Five Locations in Jakarta

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) services at five locations in Jakarta on Thursday to make it easier for residents to extend the validity of this legal requirement for driving. The service operates from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB.

East Jakarta: Lobby in front of Grand Cakung Mall

South Jakarta: Parking area next to Trilogi Kalibata University

North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok

Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office

West Jakarta: South lobby of Ciputra Mall

The Mobile SIM service only handles renewals for SIMs that are still valid and for specific categories, namely SIM A and SIM C. If the validity period of the SIM has expired, the owner must apply for a new SIM at the locations designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, the fee is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.

Meanwhile, renewal of SIM B validity can only be done at the Driving Licence Administration Unit (Satpas) office due to differences in documentation, as SIM B is designated for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons.
