Through Padel Tournament, BNN Campaigns Against Narcotics for Young People
This event also marks the initial momentum in enlivening the commemoration of HANI every 26 June. The padel tournament with the theme ‘Change The Noise, Healthier Purpose’ was selected as a campaign medium because this sport is currently popular among the younger generation, making it relevant to contemporary lifestyles.
Through this activity, BNN aims to provide a positive space for the younger generation to channel their energy through sports, build healthy communities, and strengthen awareness that a healthy lifestyle is one of the main bulwarks in preventing narcotics abuse.
The event is also accompanied by various supporting agendas, such as a BNN exhibition stand presenting interactive information on the dangers of narcotics and efforts to prevent them. In addition, there will be the ANANDA BERSINAR podcast, which offers education with a lighter and more relatable approach to the daily lives of the younger generation.
As a form of cross-sector collaboration, the tournament attended by 312 participants also features an exhibition match involving institutional leaders, the Indonesian Padel Association (PBPI), and several public figures. The presence of various parties is a concrete manifestation that narcotics prevention efforts are a shared responsibility requiring the involvement of all elements of society.
Opening the tournament, BNN RI’s Chief Secretary, Tantan Sulistyana, in his remarks, emphasised that this tournament is not just an ordinary sports competition. He stated that the name Piala Bersinar carried in this event is an acronym for the Bersih Narkotika (BERSINAR) slogan, which is BNN’s commitment to realising a healthy and drug-free Indonesia.
“This is a firm message, a national campaign, and an institutional commitment that sports is an effective preventive means in building community resilience against the threat of narcotics abuse,” said Tantan in a written statement on Friday (1/5/2026).
Furthermore, Tantan added that BNN views this tournament as a strategic instrument to accelerate the anti-narcotics campaign through a more dynamic approach, in line with the grand vision of War On Drugs For Humanity.
He hopes this activity can convey narcotics prevention messages more effectively to the younger generation with a positive, inclusive approach relevant to the times. Through the series of events of the 2026 Piala Bersinar Padel Tournament, BNN reaffirms its commitment to continuously strengthen narcotics prevention programmes targeting the younger generation as the frontline in realising a Indonesia clean from narcotics abuse.
