Indonesian Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that this enhancement of the partnership aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s strategic vision. The Head of State is committed to strengthening Indonesia’s national security, especially amid the current global geopolitical dynamics. Furthermore, Cabinet Secretary Teddy explained that one of the focuses for strengthening cooperation between the two countries moving forward is to enhance the strategic partnership between BIN and MSS. “The enhancement of good relations and cooperation between the MSS and BIN in the future is part of the foreign policy of President Prabowo’s administration, which has a vision to strengthen Indonesia’s national security amid geopolitical dynamics in the multipolar world order through an active role in various dimensions of international relations,” stated Cabinet Secretary Teddy, as quoted by Antara on Friday (27/3/2026). On Friday (27/3/2026), President Prabowo received a visit from the PRC’s State Security Minister, Chen Yixin, at the State Palace in Jakarta. This meeting, among other things, discussed enhancing inter-country cooperation in maintaining regional security stability. In that meeting, Cabinet Secretary Teddy clarified, the PRC side expressed hopes to strengthen cooperation with friendly countries, particularly in maintaining and enhancing security stability.
