Three Youths Suspected of Motorcycle Theft Arrested by Tangerang City Metro Police

Three youths suspected of attempting to steal a motorcycle were caught in a police raid during a patrol as part of the Jaga Jakarta+ Programme on Jalan Taman Makam Pahlawan (TMP) Taruna, Sukaasih Village, Tangerang District, Tangerang City, Banten, on Tuesday (7/7). The three youths have the initials A, 24, DS, 28, and AA, 23.

Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari, stated that the arrest began with officers’ suspicion upon seeing the three youths riding pillion on a motorcycle. When stopped and subjected to a body search, the Police Chief said, a key with a T-shaped handle was found in the jacket pocket of one of the youths. As a result, the three youths along with the evidence were taken to the Tangerang City Metro Police for further examination.

‘As of now, the youths are still undergoing examination,’ he said. The Police Chief explained that the Jaga Jakarta+ patrols will continue to be enhanced as a preventive measure to reduce crime rates, particularly motorcycle theft, which disturbs the community. ‘We will not give any room for criminals. The presence of personnel in the field through Precision patrols is a form of the National Police’s commitment to providing a sense of security to the public by preventing crime before it occurs,’ he stressed.
