Three TTU DPRD Members Named Suspects in Intimidation Case of Dr Icha

The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police have provided an update on the case of alleged intimidation against the late Dr Eliza Princila Ututi Pakaenoni, known as Dr Icha. Police have named three members of the Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) as suspects in the case.

The three TTU DPRD members are Thernsius Lasakar of the Golkar Party, Nubertuss Tubani of the PKB, and Veronika Lake of the PDIP. The suspect designation was made by the NTT Police Criminal Investigation Directorate following a case review on Monday (24/8).

“Three TTU DPRD members have been named as suspects, namely VL, TL and NT,” said NTT Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Henry Novika Chandra.

Henry said the case review was conducted to determine suspect status in the alleged criminal intimidation case against Dr Icha.

“Regarding the handling of the alleged criminal intimidation against the late Dr Icha, on Monday, 24 August 2026, the NTT Police Criminal Investigation Directorate conducted a case review regarding the suspect designation,” Henry explained.

Following the designation, investigators will complete the investigation administration, including the suspect designation letters and summons letters for the three TTU DPRD members. The administrative process is scheduled to be carried out this week.

“Further developments will be conveyed in accordance with the stages of the investigation and applicable legal provisions,” Henry concluded.
