Three TNI Soldiers Who Killed State-Owned Bank Branch Manager Ordered to Pay Rp 5.85 Billion in Restitution

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Three defendants in the case of the murder of the Head of a branch of a state-owned bank, Mohammad Ilham Pradipta, are charged with paying restitution or compensation of Rp 5,851,192,240 to the victim’s heir, namely his wife, Puspita Aulia.

This was disclosed in a session at Jakarta’s Military Court II-08, on Thursday (21 May 2026), before readout of the pledoi or defence notes from the defendants, namely Serka Mochamad Nasir, Kopda Feri Herianto, and Serka Frengky Yaru.

Military Prosecutor Major Chk Wasinton Marpaung explained that the restitution demand was only read in this session because they had only received the official restitution petition documents from the Witness and Victims Protection Agency (LPSK).

“That LPSK had conducted in-depth information checks and assessed the extent of the loss suffered by the victim or his heirs from the criminal event, with the applicant’s loss amounting to Rp 5,851,192,240,” said Marpaung at Jakarta’s Military Court II-08, Thursday.

He explained that the restitution value is calculated based on the losses suffered by the victim and will be charged to the defendants according to their roles and respective degrees of fault.

“The breakdown of Rp 5,851,192,240, is that for this defendant alone or joint liability with other defendants (civil)?” the judge asked.

In response, Marpaung said that they had confirmed the details of the restitution allocation with LPSK.

“So joint liability then?” asked the judge.

“Ready,” replied the Prosecutor.

During the session, the judge also asked that the restitution amount be calculated more precisely by considering the possibility of the victim’s pension from the state-owned bank where he worked.

“Yes. Or what do they receive, what allowances? It must be calculated too. Because if, for example, this is asked up to his retirement. How many times his earnings until retirement, multiplied by certain factors, the result is Rp 5.8. So it must be asked of BRI. Is there a pension from BRI?”
