Three Teenagers in West Jakarta Chased by Group Wielding Sharp Weapons, Crash into a Pole, Motorcycle Stolen

From a video circulating on social media, the three teenagers riding a motorcycle were travelling at high speed. They then crashed into a pole and fell. A group of young men chased them while carrying sharp weapons. The three teenagers ran away from the location, while their motorcycle was taken by the group wielding sharp weapons. It is narrated that the incident occurred on Friday (15/5) at 04:48 WIB on Jalan Bandengan, West Jakarta.

The Head of the Tambora Police Unit, AKP Sudrajat, said he did not yet know for sure the chronology of the incident. The police are looking for the owner of the motorcycle but there has been no police report (LP) regarding this.

“The exact chronology cannot be ascertained from both sides at this time. We have searched for the owner of the motorcycle and so far no one has claimed ownership, nor has a police report been filed. Furthermore, we are still investigating,” said AKP Sudrajat when contacted by reporters on Sunday (17/5/2026).

Sudrajat suspects that the incident was a brawl. However, the police are still investigating this further.

“So far, we are still investigating; it seems to be a brawl because, at present, we are still looking for the owner of the motorcycle and no police report has been filed,” he said.
