Three students die in collision

LHOKSEUMAWE, Aceh: Three high school students were killed in a collision between a bus and truck yesterday morning.

Antara reported that the bus, which was carrying about 40 students, was believed to have been speeding when the accident occurred.

Two students died instantly and a third died in hospital. Eleven more were being treated for their injuries.

The three casualties bring to 55 the number of people who have died on the roads in the province this year.

Last year there were 77 road fatalities. (mds)
