Three Students Arrested in Dompu for Allegedly Distributing Meth; 4g Seized
Three students in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), were arrested by officers from the Dompu Police Narcotics Investigation Unit on Tuesday night (27 October 2026). They are suspected of being part of a methamphetamine distribution network.
The three students, identified by the initials MA, 17, MR, 15, and I, 15, were arrested in a room at a boarding house in Woja District. They were gathered there when police found methamphetamine prepared for distribution.
“All three are minors and are still students,” Dompu Police Narcotics Unit chief Iptu Ade Helmi said in a statement on Wednesday (28 October 2026).
When arrested, the students said they had obtained the drugs from a young man staying at a boarding house in Bali Bunga neighbourhood, Kandai II urban village. Police went to the address, but the man had fled.
Police searched the premises and found several items of evidence, including 4g of methamphetamine divided into packets for distribution, a complete drug-smoking device and other equipment for packaging the drug.
“Officers also pursued someone suspected of being the source of the drugs. However, he managed to escape and is currently being sought as investigators continue their inquiries,” Ade Helmi said.
Ade Helmi said police would continue their investigation to trace the source of the drugs found with the three students. Officers are also pursuing the young man suspected of supplying them.
“We are continuing to investigate based on the students’ and witnesses’ accounts and to trace the origin of the methamphetamine,” he said.
Ade Helmi said legal proceedings involving the minors would be conducted in accordance with the rules governing children in conflict with the law.
“Given that all three are underage, their cases will be handled in accordance with the applicable legal provisions for children in conflict with the law,” he said.
