South Tangerang, Kompas.com — The Inspectorate of South Tangerang City has questioned three city government employees regarding the controversy surrounding the Loka Padel permit, which came under scrutiny in February 2026. All three have even been recommended for dismissal, although the final decision is still pending further hearings. Acting Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of South Tangerang City, Ahmad Dohiri, stated that the examination has been ongoing since March 2026 and continues to this day. The three South Tangerang City Government (Pemkot Tangsel) employees summoned by the Inspectorate are two from Satpol PP and one official from the Social Services Agency who holds the status of a civil servant investigator (PPNS). The case implicating the three employees concerns allegations of receiving money during the ongoing Building Construction Approval (PBG) permit process for Loka Padel. However, Dohiri denied any element of extortion in the incident. According to him, the money was given at the request of the business side and was done without coercion. The business party is said to have given Rp 10 million to the three individuals. “It’s not extortion. He asked for help to be protected, because at that time the permit was still in process,” he explained. According to Dohiri, the permit process had actually been completed at that time and was only awaiting the official signature from the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP). The Rp 10 million that was given has now been returned during the examination by the Inspectorate. The three Pemkot Tangsel employees are still undergoing examination. The Inspectorate has also issued a recommendation for sanctions against them. “Indeed recommended. All three are recommended for dismissal,” he said. However, the recommendation is not yet final as it must still go through the mechanism of further hearings.
