Three Soldiers on Trial for Bank Branch Manager's Murder, 17 Witnesses Prepared
The Military Prosecutor II-07 Jakarta has prepared a total of 17 witnesses to uncover the case of alleged kidnapping and murder of the bank branch head (kacab) with initials MIP (37). As is known, this case involves three TNI personnel.
“In the case file, there are 17 witnesses. One reporting witness from the police side, and the other 16 are civilians,” said Military Prosecutor Colonel Chk Andri Wijaya at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, Cakung, East Jakarta, on Monday (6/4/2026).
The number of witnesses is considered key in revealing the facts and roles of the parties in this case. All witnesses to be presented come from the case file that has been handed over by the military investigators.
From the total, one person is a reporting witness from the police, while the other 16 are from the civilian sector. All these witnesses will be presented gradually in the subsequent trial agenda.
The presence of these witnesses is expected to strengthen the evidence and provide a complete picture of the chronology of the incident.
From the 16 civilian witnesses, there are parties who are also suspected as perpetrators in this case. They will still provide statements as witnesses in the trial.
“We will present them all, including the civilian perpetrators who are on the witness list; this trial is open,” said Andri.
With a large number of witnesses, the trial process is expected to proceed intensively and in depth. Each witness’s statement will be an important part in building the legal construction and revealing the involvement of each party.
In addition to witnesses from the case file, the Military Prosecutor also opens the possibility of presenting the victim’s family to provide additional statements if needed in the trial.
“The victim’s family can also be presented. This trial is open to the public,” said Andri.
