Three Year 11 students from SMA Negeri 1 Sindang in Indramayu Regency have been officially returned to their parents, effectively expelled from the school, following their involvement in a motorcycle gang that had been disturbing the community. The firm decision was taken by the school as an enforcement of the ‘Panca Waluya’ integrity pact that had been mutually agreed upon. Point eight of the pact stipulates that students of SMAN 1 Sindang are prohibited from using drugs, bringing sharp weapons to school, smoking, committing immoral acts, engaging in free sex, and carrying contraceptives. They are also banned from participating in motorcycle gang activities.

Diana Susanti, Vice Principal for Student Affairs at SMAN 1 Sindang, accompanied by Vice Principal for Public Relations Nurhadi, explained that the rules within the integrity pact strictly forbid students from engaging in motorcycle gang activities. Consequently, strict sanctions are imposed on students who violate them. “Based on the police report and evidence of such behaviour, the school decided to return the three students to their parents,” Diana stated on Tuesday (9/6/2026).

Although expelled, the school has ensured that the children’s right to education is not severed. Therefore, SMAN 1 Sindang is committed to assisting their transfer process to private schools, the Kejar Paket C programme, or schools outside Indramayu Regency. Meanwhile, two other students who were also reported are still under further investigation by the school.
