Three Sembalun Youths Arrested During Meth Party After Sexual Harassment Report

Three youths in the Sembalun District, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), were arrested by police during a methamphetamine party on Monday (8/6) night. The arrests were carried out after they were previously reported in connection with alleged sexual harassment.

The case came to light following a report of an attempted sexual harassment against a woman identified by the initials AY (19). At the time, AY was preparing to hike Bukit Anak Dara. However, as her friend had departed earlier, she waited for her colleague, identified by the initials R.

“At that time, because R did not have a carrier (mountain backpack), AY accompanied him to R’s house, where they had previously parked a vehicle at BA’s house,” explained the Head of Public Relations for the East Lombok Police, Iptu Lalu Rusmaladi, on Tuesday (9/6/2026).

Upon arriving at BA’s house, AY was allegedly forced into a room containing three men. Terrified, AY ran out of the house crying.

“AY was found crying by residents on the roadside in front of the Agro Hotel. She was then taken to the police station to file a report,” Rusmaladi explained.

Following up on the report, police proceeded to the scene at BA’s house. However, at that location, officers instead discovered three men allegedly engaged in a drug party, namely BA (25), AR (19), and AG (20).

“At that time, officers found three men suspected of participating in a drug party, along with evidence including 2 bongs (smoking devices), 2 lighters, improvised pipes made from straws, glass, and used plastic clips from methamphetamine,” concluded Rusmaladi.

From the examination results, the methamphetamine was obtained from a man identified by the initials AS (31), who also resides in the Sembalun District. Police subsequently conducted further investigations and secured evidence at AS’s house, consisting of 5 plastic clips containing methamphetamine and smoking paraphernalia.

“Further investigation revealed that the methamphetamine was obtained from AR. At 23:35 WITA, a search was conducted at AR’s house, where smoking devices and 5 clips of methamphetamine were found,” Rusmaladi explained.
