Three Sembalun Youths Arrested During Meth Party After Sexual Harassment Report

Three youths in Sembalun District, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, were arrested by police during a methamphetamine party on Monday evening. The arrests were made after they were previously reported in connection with an alleged sexual harassment case. The case came to light following a report of an attempted sexual assault against a woman with the initials AY (19). At the time, AY was planning to hike to Bukit Anak Dara. However, because her friend had departed earlier, she waited for her friend, identified as R. “At that time, because R did not have a carrier (mountain bag), AY accompanied R to his house, where they had previously parked a vehicle at BA’s house,” explained East Lombok Police Public Relations Head, First Inspector Lalu Rusmaladi, on Tuesday. Upon arriving at BA’s house, AY was allegedly forced into a room where three men were present. Out of fear, AY then ran out of the house crying. “AY was found crying by residents on the roadside in front of Hotel Agro. She was then taken to the police station to file a report,” Rusmaladi stated. Following up on the report, police visited the scene at BA’s house. However, at the location, officers instead discovered three men suspected of having a drug party, identified as BA (25), AR (19), and AG (20). “At that time, officers found three men suspected of engaging in a drug party, along with evidence including two bongs, two lighters, a scoop made from a pipette, glass, and plastic clips containing methamphetamine residue,” Rusmaladi concluded. From the investigation, the methamphetamine was obtained from a man with the initials AS (31), who also resides in Sembalun District. Police then conducted further investigation and secured evidence at AS’s house in the form of five plastic clips containing methamphetamine and a smoking device. “Further investigation revealed that the methamphetamine was obtained from AR. At 23:35 Central Indonesian Time, a search was conducted at AR’s house and a smoking device and five clips of methamphetamine were found,” Rusmaladi explained.
