The Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industries/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has recorded three sectors with the largest contributions to Jakarta's investment realisation in the first quarter of 2025.

Minister Rosan Roeslani revealed that the three sectors comprise Transport, Warehousing and Telecommunications at Rp24.5 trillion; Other Services at Rp16.6 trillion; and Housing, Industrial Estates and Office Space at Rp8.6 trillion.

"The Transport, Warehousing and Telecommunications sector is one of the reasons why investment in Jakarta has increased, followed by Other Services, then the Housing, Industrial Estates and Office Space sector," said Rosan, as quoted from an official statement by the Jakarta Provincial Public Service Mall on Wednesday (30/4/2025).

Jakarta also recorded the highest investment realisation nationally in Q1 2025, reaching Rp69.8 trillion across a total of 114,451 investment projects, contributing 15% of total national investment. This figure represents a significant increase compared with the same period last year, which stood at Rp58.4 trillion.

Rosan stated that total national investment realisation in Q1 2025 reached Rp465.2 trillion, an increase of 15.9% year-on-year. He noted that the strong investment performance was inseparable from collaboration between central and regional governments, particularly the One-Stop Integrated Services offices (DPMPTSP), which have continued to improve service systems and simplify licensing procedures.

Rosan also expressed optimism that the national investment target of Rp1,905 trillion for 2025 can be achieved, citing various ongoing commitments set to be realised that are heading in a positive direction.

"God willing, we can achieve this target by the end of 2025. Hopefully we can exceed it, but ultimately it depends on the investment realisations they have made in Indonesia," said Rosan.
