Three restaurants closed down

Three restaurants were closed down on Wednesday after a
combined team from the North Jakarta mayoralty found that their
licenses had expired.

The head of the North Jakarta Tourism office, Wiyanto, said
that the Jaya Abadi restaurant in Muara Karang, Kwe Tiauw
restaurant in Kelapa Gading and Istana restaurant, have been
operating illegally since 1991.

"They have been warned to renew their licenses several times,"
Wiyanto said.

He further revealed that 20 entertainment sites in North
Jakarta such as night clubs, discotheques, massage parlors and
billiard halls have been given stern warnings for similar
offenses.

Wiyanto has also ordered them to fulfill their administrative
obligations or face similar action.(mds)
