Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, has once again achieved a proud milestone. Three PTBA employees have successfully received the Certificate of Appreciation for the Satyalancana Wira Karya Honour of 2025 from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.

The award was presented by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, in the presence of officials and stakeholders in the energy and mineral resources sector at the Ministry of ESDM, Jakarta, on Wednesday (06/05/2026).

The Satyalancana Wira Karya is a national honour given to Indonesian citizens for their dedicated service, devotion, and significant contributions to the nation and state, serving as an example to others, particularly in supporting national development in the ESDM sector.

The three PTBA employees who received the award are Riksa Suryabudhy Kurniawan, Head of the Production and Mining Support Equipment Maintenance Sub Division at PTBA; Kiagus Abdul Hadi, Head of the Mine Port Equipment Preventive Maintenance 1–3 Subsection at PTBA; and Kgs Muhammad Irwinsyah, Head of the Mining Occupational Safety and Health Section at PTBA.

One of the award recipients, Kiagus Abdul Hadi, stated that the honour is part of the journey he has undertaken while working at PTBA.

Throughout his career, Hadi has been involved in various developments and innovations with his team, including winning awards at the Bukit Asam Innovation Awards 2021–2022 and the Top Explorer Awards at the MIND ID level.

“The stages were quite lengthy and became a valuable experience for me. From that process, I learned a lot and developed myself,” he explained.

In 2024, Hadi and his team also successfully received the Dharma Karya ESDM award. The innovation they developed with the team focused on optimising the conveyor system as the main tool for coal distribution, which improves operational efficiency while providing positive environmental impacts.

“This innovation significantly reduces the use of heavy equipment, resulting in fuel savings, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and minimisation of potential environmental pollution in the port area,” he clarified.

He also expressed appreciation to the team and company management for the support provided during that journey.

“I thank the PTBA team and management who have continuously supported my learning and personal development process,” he concluded.

In agreement, another award recipient, Kgs Muhammad Irwinsyah, shared his journey while contributing at PTBA. During his career, Irwinsyah and his team also won the Dharma Karya ESDM 2024 award through the development of the Agent SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment).

“The innovation we carried out was the development of Agent SHE, which acts as an extension to ensure safety and security aspects in all of PTBA’s vast operational areas,” he said.

Irwinsyah explained that the development arose from challenges in limited personnel to monitor the extensive work areas, thus requiring a more effective system-based solution.

“The process was quite long. From developing the innovation with the team until I finally received the Satyalancana Wira Karya,” he elaborated.

PTBA’s Corporate Secretary Division Head, Eko Prayitno, expressed appreciation for this achievement. According to him, the award is a form of recognition for the dedication and contributions of PTBA employees in supporting the advancement of the national energy sector.

Eko hopes that this award can motivate all PTBA employees to continue providing their best contributions to the company, society, and the nation.

“In the future, PTBA will continue to encourage the creation of a superior, collaborative work culture oriented towards sustainable contributions to national development,” Eko concluded.
