Three Protests in Jakarta Today, Beware of Traffic Jams at the Following Points

JAKARTA - Three demonstrations will take place in Central Jakarta today, Friday (10/4/2026).

The Head of Public Relations for the Central Jakarta Metro Police Resort, First Inspector Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the first demonstration will be held in front of the Bank BRI Headquarters on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman at 9:00 AM.

“There will be a protest by the Indonesian Law Students Union in the morning,” said Erlyn in a written statement.

The third protest will be held in front of the DPR/MPR Building in Senayan by the Indonesian Youth Initiative Movement at 1:00 PM.

A total of 453 combined police personnel have been deployed to secure the demonstrations on Friday.

Meanwhile, traffic engineering at the protest points will be carried out situationally, taking into account the number of participants on the ground.

Erlyn advised the public to avoid areas around the protests to anticipate traffic congestion.
