Three Protests in Jakarta Today, Beware of Traffic Jams at the Following Locations

JAKARTA - Three demonstrations are scheduled to take place in Central Jakarta today, Monday (27/4/2026).

The Head of Public Relations for the Central Jakarta Metro Police Resort, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the first demonstration will be held in the southern area of Monas and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir.

The second demonstration will be held at 13:00 WIB by the same group in front of the National Human Rights Commission office, Menteng.

The third protest is scheduled for 13:00 WIB by the Bogor Raya Student Executive Board Alliance in front of the National Geospatial Agency office, Kebon Sirih, Menteng.

A total of 735 combined police personnel have been deployed to secure the demonstrations in Central Jakarta today.

Meanwhile, traffic arrangements at the protest sites will be implemented situationally, taking into account the number of people on the ground.

Erlyn urged the public to avoid the areas around the protests to anticipate traffic congestion.
