Three Police Chiefs and Head of Internal Affairs Among Those Replaced in Polda Metro Jaya Reshuffle
The Indonesian National Police Headquarters has conducted a large-scale rotation and transfer of several strategic positions. Within the Metro Jaya Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya), the overhaul affects several police resort chiefs, a director, and the head of the medical and health division (Kabiddokkes). The rotation is stipulated in five telegram letters numbered ST/1335/VI/Kep/2026, ST/1336/VI/Kep/2026, ST/1337/VI/Kep/2026, ST/1338/VI/Kep/2026, ST/1339/VI/Kep/2026, ST/1340/VI/Kep/2026, and ST/1341/VI/Kep/2026, issued on 25 August 2026. Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Pol. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, stated that transfers are a normal part of the organisation, serving as career development and an effort to improve institutional performance. ‘Mutations and promotions are part of the organisational dynamics aimed at enhancing professionalism, leadership capacity, and the effectiveness of the National Police’s duties in providing service, protection, and security to the public,’ Brigadier General Pol. Trunoyudo told reporters in Jakarta on Saturday (27/6/2026). The changes in Polda Metro Jaya are as follows: 1. The Head of Internal Affairs for Polda Metro Jaya is now held by Senior Commissioner Aris Supriyono, previously the Head of the Sub-directorate for Internal Security Development at the Police Professional and Internal Security Division. 2. The Director of Vital Object Security is now Senior Commissioner Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi. 3. The Chief of West Jakarta Metropolitan Police is now Senior Commissioner Nasriadi. 4. The Chief of Bekasi City Police is now Senior Commissioner Putu Kholis Aryana. 5. The Chief of Tanjung Priok Port Police is now Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Alrasyidin Fajri. 6. The Deputy Director of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate is now Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant I Dewa P G Anom Danujaya. 7. The Head of the Medical and Health Division is now Senior Commissioner M Faizal Zulkarnaen. In addition to Polda Metro Jaya, the National Police also restructured positions in several other regional police forces. Through the series of telegram letters, a total of 1,121 high-ranking officers and mid-ranking officers were rotated, transferred, or promoted. Brigadier General Trunoyudo stated that of these thousands of personnel, 748 received promotions or equivalent lateral transfers.
