Three PKH Assistants Dismissed, Gus Ipul Reiterates Ban on Directing Beneficiaries' Shopping
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has dismissed three companions of the Family Hope Programme (PKH) who hold the status of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) after they were found guilty of serious violations and breaching discipline.
Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf, or Gus Ipul, stated that up to March 2026, three PKH companions with PPPK status have been terminated.
“This year, up to March, there have already been three Family Hope Programme (PKH) companions with PPPK status who have been dismissed,” said Gus Ipul on Thursday (26/3/2026).
He reminded PKH companions, especially those with PPPK status, to carry out their duties with full responsibility.
In addition, companions are prohibited from holding KPM cards because it has the potential to harm aid recipients.
“Do not mess around by holding KPM cards, do not direct KPM to buy staple goods at certain places,” he said.
He emphasised that the role of PKH companions is very important because it ensures that social assistance is used in accordance with its objectives to improve the welfare of beneficiary families.
“The task of companions is to ensure that the assistance provided is used for improving the family economy. So, there should be no more companions who mess around,” said Gus Ipul.
He also reminded companions who have been appointed as PPPK to maintain the trust of the state with good performance.
In addition to dismissing the three PKH companions with PPPK status, Kemensos has also terminated one Civil Servant (ASN) who was proven to have committed absenteeism fraud and failed to carry out duties for a long time.
“I have dismissed one civil servant at the Ministry of Social Affairs. One person, while the others are still in process,” said Gus Ipul.
He stated that the ASN met the criteria for dishonourable dismissal sanctions because they had not come to work for several years.
“They have not come to work for several years and have not carried out duties properly,” he said.
