Three Palestinians were killed on Wednesday (29/7) as a result of Israeli air strikes on Gaza City and Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian sources.

Local residents and witnesses said an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of Palestinians in the Rimal neighbourhood, west of Gaza City, killing one person and wounding three others.

In a separate incident, two people were killed and three others injured in an Israeli air strike targeting a shelter tent for displaced residents in the Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, according to medical sources.

The Gaza Strip has in recent weeks been the target of escalating Israeli air strikes aimed at houses, displacement tents, gatherings of Palestinians, and Hamas members.

Gaza-based health authorities reported on Wednesday that hospitals in the Gaza Strip had received two bodies and were treating 29 wounded people in the past 24 hours.

Since the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel came into effect in October 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,209 people, bringing the total death toll in the Gaza Strip since 7 October 2023 to 73,335.
