Three Palembang Junction Ramps Begin Operations, Making Journeys Easier Without Exiting the Toll Road
PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has officially begun operating three ramps at the Palembang Junction on Friday (3/4/2026). This follows Decree No. 167/KPTS/M/2026 from the Minister of Public Works. The operation covers three new ramps designed to facilitate journeys for road users without needing to exit the toll road. The ramps now in service are Ramp 5 (Betung–Indralaya), Ramp 6 (Betung–Palembang), and Ramp 8 (Palembang–Kayu Agung). Previously, several other ramps had already been serving users, namely Ramp 1 (Betung–Kayu Agung), Ramp 2 (Kayu Agung–Indralaya), Ramp 3 (Indralaya–Kayu Agung), and Ramp 4B (Kayu Agung–Kramasan). Road users are urged to pay attention to their origin and destination and ensure sufficient e-money balances for smooth transactions at toll gates. The presence of the Palembang Junction will enhance connectivity between toll road segments and enable more direct journeys without first exiting the toll. Acting Executive Vice President and Secretary of Hutama Karya, Hamdani, stated that with the Palembang Junction now operational, connectivity between toll roads in the Palembang area and surroundings will be even better. “Road users can now undertake various journeys more efficiently and practically through directly connected routes,” explained Hamdani on Thursday (2/4/2026). The company urges road users to prepare their journeys well, including checking routes and ensuring sufficient e-money balances before passing through.
